BEST WAY TO APPLY EYE CREAM
I've searched all over youtube only to find most people don't actually know how to apply eye cream.
Somehow this post requires me to do a video which I will eventually get around to, but first let's break down eye creams.
Most eye creams contain irritants that bring blood flow to the surface of the skin and puff out wrinkles. This usually causes nothing but irritation and thinning of that delicate tissue around the eyes. If you ask me it can be quite counter productive.
I'm not personally a big fan of eye cream to begin with, but when I got into skincare I realized that the tissue around the eye actually does need extra care and protection. Those windows to the soul can also be telltale windows to aging.
If you couldn't tell from the video I'm personally a huge fan of eye roller balls. They usually contain caffeine to reduce water puff and swelling around the eyes. The steel roller ball itself it quite cooling, but the best part is there is no tugging on that skin. The roller ball glides on the skin and applies just the right amount of product unless you apply a great amount of pressure.
When it comes to actual eye cream you want to take a pea size amount of cream with your ring finger and tap it around the entire eye with that ring finger. To spread the cream more you will tap a little firmer in directions toward the nose. At the brow bone you will lift out, but in the eye socket you want to keep all tapping and massaging towards the nose.
I have actually seen where people are too aggressive with their eye cream application and cause more wrinkles on their eyes than before they started!
