Almost all types of oils are good for damaged and dry hair . To cure this problem, you need to apply good oil that repairs and protects hair. These are essential oils and carrier oils. Essential oils These are made with plant extracts. Rich in scent, these are popular because of their aromatic quality. Essential oils are rich in nutrients that give required nourishment to damaged hair, thus making them strong, soft and supple. HOW TO APPLY YOUR SKINCARE PRODUCTS

I sometimes take for granted that everyone understands how to apply products. After a conversation with a customer I realized that perhaps not everyone knows the order in which you apply a product. 1. Cleanse 2. Exfoliate (usually lightly every 2-3 days) 3. Cleanse again if you've exfoliated 4. Tone (super important) 5. Apply serum 6. Apply moisturizer or the next heaviest product 7. Tap in eye cream around the eyes 8. Beauty oils are the LAST thing you put on if you use them. Oils seal in moisture. They do NOT give the skin moisture. The best rule of thumb is you apply the lightest products first (smaller ingredients) and work up to the heavier products. If you purchase my cell quench you get to skip steps 5-8! Remember to incorporate either homemade or store bought masks a few times a week!!! They are one of the best things you can do for your skin.

ULTIMATE DESTRESSING SOUND

Image
Yes, I know it is not Tuesday, but I ran across this video which plays a certain frequency that seems to get rid of our stress here at the office. Some have emailed us back to tell us how they slept better after listening to this for 5 minutes. Some said it took them three minutes to get into it before they felt a wave of calm. Play it on the loudest setting for the full five minutes for best results. You're welcome.

CHARCOAL BEAUTY DETOX

Image
I grew up thinking charcoal was something dirty that you got in your stocking if you were bad as a child or a briquette at the bottom of my father's grill. Little did I know until I got into skin care that activated charcoal would become one of my favorite ingredients especially for customers with acne prone skin. I first found out about charcoal in beauty years ago from the South Koreans (of course). They use charcoals in masks, soaps and and assortment of other products. What does activated charcoal do? Most importantly it is a magnet for dirt, bacteria and other chemicals that assault the surface of our skin. You've already probably used charcoal if you've ever  used a Brita filter as most of us have. Activated charcoal soap is not too different from African black soap, but I have found that the antibacterial properties of  charcoal soap to be MUCH stronger......and I have used REAL African Black Soap, not the American or European stuff that ends up with a bunch of synt...
