You need calcium to absorb vitamin d if you take it orally. Vitamin D is also fat soluble so you also need to make sure there is fat present for it to absorb. This is one reason wild salmon is important to have in your diet. Salmon is a healthy, fatty fish with Vitamin D. Vitamin D is necessary for our immune system. When we are deficient in vitamin D we get sick easier, contract skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis and most importantly we break out!!
