THE MAGIC OF MICROCURRENT 'FACELIFTS'

Image
by mary schook If you have subscribed to Groupon, Gilt, or Living Social I guarantee you've seen the specials for non-surgical facelift treatments or microcurrent treatments. Madonna and Kate Winslet have publicly admitted getting them. It's not voodoo. Our western doctors even use microcurrent to heal breaks, fractures and other ailments. Why? Because our body is electric, and with the correct devices it works!! When doctors want to restart a heart that's stopped what do they do? They use electricity!!! (not microcurrent). There is a fascinating history of microcurrent that begins in 1843 where Carlos Mateucci proved that our OWN bodies produce its own electric current as engages in the wound healing process!!! You can read more about our amazing bodies HERE. While Mateucci may be one of the first to document our bodies being electrical, it's actually the Asians (once again) that invented the very first microcurrent devices a.k.a. acupuncture needles! LIFTING SAGGY EYELIDS THROUGH ISOMETRICS

by mary schook Aside from acne and necklines I think my biggest request has been to discuss lifting saggy eyelids. REASONS Saggy lids generally happen as we age for a few reasons. One is the fat loss in the temple area that causes the eye to droop. I see this especially when older people also try to diet. It also happens when people drink a lot of alcohol and their eyes puff up and then go back down again. The constant swelling messes with the eye's elasticity and causes it to bag and sag. Most of my clients tell me that they didn't have saggy lids until they got Botox. I guess part of that depends on the skill of the doctor. Very few said their doctors were able to lift their lids with Botox. There are also many other reasons that lids sag, but these are the main attractions....

by mary schook After spending more hours of my life applying lash extensions than sleeping over the last 8+ years I tend to pick up a few things here and there about lash growth. There are several things that cause lash loss: thyroid conditions, aging, stress, childbirth, product abuse, not changing your mascara frequently enough, bad lash extensions and more. Today I am going to talk about the few things that one can do to get those peepers back into shape: BIOTIN I originally learned about the magic of Biotin more than a decade ago by a leading hair extension expert. Extensions (either hair or lash) can take a toll of the follicle if they are not applied properly or they are abused. Generally I have seen 5mg (not mcg) of the Vitamin Shoppe brand almost double the number of lashes on the people who take it religiously. I have had some customers report that their stress is also better from it. Now hospitals are even using Biotin in high doses to increase the success rates of premature ...
