ADULT ACNE AND FOREHEAD LINES

Image
I'm seeing acne in adults all too frequently lately. Many are too quick to turn to external remedies when in fact once again it all starts with the inside! I know there are a lot of conflicting reports about the direct correlation between food and acne, but you can't dispute YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT! My famous line: Eat a Cheeto, look like a Cheeto. Today I'm going to quickly discuss one of the silent culprits of acne and forehead wrinkles. It's coffee. It's not necessarily because of the sugar or dairy you may add to it. It comes down to good 'ol caffeine. Terry Johnson stated in an ezine article that dehydration is one of the causes for the skin on your forehead to dry up and lose its elasticity. Keeping your body well hydrated is the easiest way to get prevent the formation of aging forehead lines. 100% of the time if I ask someone if they are drinking coffee or a lot of caffeine they respond "YES!, how did you know? " I look at the forehead and if I se...

BEAUTY LESSONS FROM YOUR TOOTHBRUSH

Image
by mary schook One of my clients today reminded me of a tool we once used here (up until a couple of years ago) called the Clarisonic. In case you don't live on planet beauty, a Clarisonic is a tool that operates similar to a sonic toothbrush. Simply put the Clarisonic is fantastic device that gently exfoliates away the dead skin and debris allowing products to penetrate better. I thought it was important to bring up the Clarisonic today because no matter how good a tool is, investing your money in wonderful products like these could end up doing more harm than good for your skin if they're not properly taken care of. If you read through different forums about the Clarisonic one of the biggest complaints about the device is that it has been a source of acne for many users. Why is this? The most obvious reason people get acne from the Clarisonic is from not cleaning the brush at all. Another reason is from brushing over acne containing pus. It's the perfect way to spread th...

Natural Makeup Remover Wearing makeup is a daily ritual for many women. When the time comes to take off your makeup it can seem like a chore that you dread to do, understandable. Are you tired of spending valuable money on a wet piece of cloth to remove your makeup? Now, there is a way you can make a homemade makeup remover that is gentle on your skin, as well as easy on your bank account, but is still effective at removing all of your makeup. Typically store-bought makeup removers contain certain chemicals that can cause reactions, irritations, breakouts and even dry out your skin. A quality makeup remover is essential to our everyday lives without it all of our towels would have face prints stained into them, we would wake up with raccoon eyes, clogged pores and even premature signs of aging, at the end of the day our skin needs to breathe. Simply using either olive oil or coconut oil will effectively remove your makeup. The reason oils are so great at removing makeup is becaus...

SEX REDUCES WRINKLES

Image
by mary schook Yes, you heard me correctly. Sex reduces wrinkles. That was one of the first things they taught us in esthetics school. In fact Mrs. B told us repeatedly "girls, never turn down the sex. It keeps you young!" We used to laugh at her, but in the end we discovered she was actually right. ACTIVE sex (I'm not talking about 3 minute passive sex) increases cardiovascular health by increasing oxygen and blood flow. When blood flow and oxygen increase, nutrients carried by our blood to the cells is delivered more efficiently. The result is firmer, more youthful skin. Sex additionally increases lymphatic drainage and releases toxins out of the system through our sweat. The only problem is that unless you shower right away the toxins get reabsorbed into the body. You can read about sex and anti-aging more HERE FROM WORLDHEALTH.NET. The less exciting option (and only option for some of us) that delivers similar, but even better results is the Power Plate (vibration p...

The good news is this treatment is completely natural giving you the results you want. However, when reading these items that you wi...
