60 SECOND FACELIFT

Image
This chart is a BIG key to anti-aging. If you massage your face (without tugging on the skin) as this chart suggests every day you will prevent jowls, eye wrinkles, forehead lines and more. Fluids and toxins tend to build up in the face from alcohol, sugar, dairy, stress and more. Massaging (lymphatic drainage) everything out to the ears and down the neck will help prevent a lot of toxic buildup. People with lots of toxins in the neck and jowl area will see larger face lifting results. Those with fewer toxins will see less results, BUT will help to prevent future jowls and saggy skin. THIS IS NOT NEW.  This technique is an integral part of any top facial procedure that you can perform yourself at home. Check out this old video I did a few years back to see this technique in action:

DOES FOOD CAUSE ACNE OR DRY SKIN?

Image
It sometimes baffles me when doctors say that foods you eat or don't eat don't directly correlate to getting acne or even dry skin. Mind you doctors generally only get FOUR hours of nutrition in their curriculum. Some fail to get even 25 recommended hours as reported in the NY TIMES.  I bring this up today because last night I saw a client with severe acne. She's in the cycle of treating it and then only getting temporary results, which screams this is mostly coming from the inside. It's not to say that environment, pollution and lifestyle don't have a role in this as well, but arming your body with the essential nutrients your cells need in order to function is not only necessary, but common sense. Also staying away from foods that break down your cells and the body's functions is also imminent in regards to a higher quality of life. Even though I am only a licensed esthetician and chemist with a nutrition background I find that when people cut out conventional...

CAN SLOUCHING MAKE YOU AGE FASTER?

Image
It might seem really silly, but did you know that having poor posture could make you age faster?!!!  Slumping in your chair can cause your breath to be more shallow thus reducing the amount of oxygen available to transport from the lungs to the red blood cells. Red blood cells are responsible for carrying oxygen and iron to other cells to keep them functioning and stable. The cells will die faster if they don't get the oxygen and nutrients they need. It could also lead to cancer because the lack of oxygen causes the cells to be unstable. You can read in more detail here about how important it is for us to get oxygen in your blood, which has to start with sufficient breath in the lungs. http://takefivemethod.com/taxonomy/term/7 As a side note I also find that when people are under stress they tend to hold their breath while they try to concentrate (can't breathe and think at the same time). There are several customers I find I have to remind to breathe when they are in my chair....
